University Closed -- New Year's Holiday. 

Hofstra University will be closed from December 24, 2019 - January 1, 2020 for the winter break. The University will re-open on January 2 for January Session. The Spring 2020 semester begins on January 27.

Below are the hours of operation for various campus facilities during the winter break. We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year and look forward to welcoming you back upon your return to campus.

Campus Dining

Those wishing to grab a bite to eat still have plenty of options available, including the Student Center Café, Starbucks, and Dutch Treats.

Fitness Center

Beginning on December 20, the Fitness Center will be closing early. The facility will also be closed from December 24-January 1.

Residential Programs

Residence halls will be open. But, if your travel plans have changed since you filled out your “general intentions form” for the winter break, please notify your Residence Director of any updates.

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
