Super Goal Sunday: A Day of Self-Discovery for Women 40+ Comments

Grab your girlfriends and come to the Hofstra University Club for an enlightening informative and fun-filled afternoon! Learn new skills, make new friends, and discover how to make the most of your life -- at any age!

Cost:

$40 per person (register by February 25)

$50 per person (register after February 25)

Fee includes Afternoon Tea (tea assortment, coffee, pastries and fresh fruit) and all workshops.

KEYNOTE: ELLEN MEISTER

 “Voice Lessons from Dorothy Parker: How to Speak Up, Speak Out, and Always Leave Them Laughing”

 

Dorothy Parker was the most outrageous and celebrated wit of the 20th century. How did this little girl of modest means -- born 25 years before women got the right to vote -- become a legendary spitfire? Join author Ellen Meister -- who recently brought the icon back to life in her new novel, Farewell, Dorothy Parker -- as she discusses the lessons in courage we can learn from this "mistress of the verbal hand grenade."

Ellen Meister is a popular Long Island author, speaker and lecturer. Her novels include Farewell, Dorothy Parker (Putnam, 2013), The Other Life (Putnam, 2011) and The Smart One (HarperCollins, 2008).

Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
