Memorial for Dr. Robert Sulcer (Rescheduled from Oct. 31) Comments
The Hofstra community will hold a memorial ceremony for Dr. Robert Sulcer on Wednesday, November 28, at 11:20 a.m. at the Lowenfeld Conference and Exhibition Hall, located on the 10th floor of Axinn Library, South Campus.
Dr. Sulcer, associate professor of English, passed away on May 10, 2012, after a 14-month battle with brain cancer. He was a specialist in Victorian literature and Queer Studies. In addition to serving on the English Department faculty, he also taught in Hofstra University Honors College and the LGBT program.
Dr. Sulcer joined the Hofstra faculty in 2001. He earned a B.A. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin.
