Issues in Judaism Lecture Series: Assimilation, Integration, Anti-Semitism Italy Comments
The Hofstra Cultural Center and Hofstra Hillel's Issues in Judaism Lecture Series Fall 2012 presents a four-part lectures series titled “History and Culture: Iran Italy Germany America.”
The lecture on November 20 (rescheduled from October 31) will be: "Assimilation, Integration, Anti-Semitism, Italy: Five Centuries of Italian Jewish History"
Speaker: Dr. Stanislao Pugliese, Professor of History,
Hofstra Cultural Center Fellow, Queensboro UNICO
Distinguished Professor of Italian and Italian American Studies, Hofstra University
Editor, “The Most Ancient of Minorities: The Jews of Italy,” 2002;
“The Legacy of Primo Levi, 2005;” “Answering Auschwitz: Primo Levi’s Science and Humanism After the Fall,” 2011
A question and answer period will follow each lecture. Lectures take place at the Guthart Cultural Center Theater, Axinn Library, First Floor, South Campus.

$22 general public
$20 senior citizen (over 65 with ID) or PEIR member
$15 matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID
