Reflections on Mandela--Cancelled University Closed Comments

Due to weather conditions, the University will be closed today, Thursday February 13, 2014.  Classes are cancelled, the Child Care Center at the Saltzman Center and offices are closed.  Essential services for students will remain open. The Fitness Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We will continue to monitor the weather and make updates to closing announcements as necessary. For further information, please check the snow update page and your email and text messages.

During this panel discussion, members of the University community will share their memories of and perspectives on Nelson Mandela (“the father of the nation” in South Africa), whose legacy as an international statesman, human rights activist, mediator and peace activist, Nobel Peace Prize and U.S. Medal of Freedom recipient will forever be remembered around the world.

This event will now take place on February 27 at 7 pm in the Cultural Center Theater.
