FAFSA Filing Deadline Comments
It is important for all students seeking aid to complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline.
New Undergraduate Students: Complete and file FAFSA by February 15 of the year for which you are seeking aid (senior year of HS).
Continuing Students: The priority annual deadlines for continuing students is February 15th. You have to do this every year you require aid.
Transfer Students: If you haven't already done so, complete and file FAFSA by February 15 of the year for which you are seeking aid. If you have already filed, be sure to update your application with Hofstra's code 002732.
New and Continuing Graduate Students must also file by February 15 of the year for which you are seeking aid.
A Note about the deadlines: When you visit the FAFSA web site, you may notice that the official deadline to submit FAFSA on the Web Applications is at the end of June 2013. Please realize that filing at this late date may affect your financial aid. Filing your FAFSA by February 15th will ensure that your application is in order prior to the school year.
FAFSA applications are available for processing starting January 1st of the upcoming year.
