The William H. Lawrence Honors Recital: Richard Blake, Christine Flannery, Alexis Minogue, and Brittney Sanders Comments

Each year, four students of the Hofstra University Music Department are chosen to perform in the Lawrence Honors Recital based on their academic achievement and demonstration of mastery on their voice/instrument. This year's recipients are Richard Blake (bassoon), Christine Flannery (flute), Alexis Minogue (voice), and Brittney Sanders (clarinet).

William H. Lawrence was an internationally acclaimed African-American pianist and composer. Mr. Lawrence provided financial support for the Music Department through a bequest in his will. His gift, which included two pianos, helped support renovations in the John Cranford Adams Playhouse and the establishment of an endowed scholarship in his name to support students majoring in the field of music.

Free and open to the public.
