Biomedical Lecture at the Med School Comments
The Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine will be hosting several biomedical lectures by top scientific researchers from well-respected institutions from across the country, including The Rockefeller University and the National Institute of Health.
On January 22, 2013 at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine is proud to present a lecture by Jean-Laurent Casanova, MD, PhD, the senior attending physician and Professor at St. Giles Laboratory of Human Genetics of Infectious Diseases at the Rock
efeller University. Dr. Casanova will lecture on “Toward a Genetic Theory of Infectious Diseases.”
The next event will be on February 28, 2013. Allen R. Braun, MD of the National Institute on Deafness and Communication Disorders at the National Institute of Health will discuss his reserach work which uses neuroimaging methods to study the relationships between brain and language in normal subjects and patients with neuological disorders that affect speech, voice and language.
The lectures will take place in the medical school's Medical Education Theater on the second floor and all are welcome!
