Welcome Week 2013 Comments

Please join the students, faculty and staff of Hofstra University as we welcome you to campus to kick off the academic year. Welcome Week is designed to help you meet new people and immerse yourself in campus life. The week will open on Thursday, August 29, 2013, with your official welcome to the University from Hofstra President Stuart Rabinowitz.

Throughout the week, there will be academic programs, trips, guest speakers, and social and educational activities planned. This is a great way to meet other students, develop friendships and get involved!

 

Welcome Week Information


Welcome Week Check-In and Move-In on Thursday, August 29

Resident Student Check-in: 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Commuting Student Check-in: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Intramural Fields, North Campus

Welcome to Hofstra! Representatives from various offices within the Division of Student Affairs as well as Welcome Week Leaders are here to welcome you and help you move in. You will receive your HofstraCard, special Class of 2017 gift, and more. Resident Students: Check your room assignment letter for your approximate move-in time.

Parking Notice
Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
