Great Writers, Great Readings presents Jennifer Egan Comments

Hofstra University’s Department of English and the M.F.A. in Creative Writing present the tenth annual Great Writers, Great Readings Series at Hofstra: A Yearlong Celebration. Author Jennifer Egan will be the lecturer on Monday, November, 4, 2013 at 7 p.m. Ms. Egan is the author of A Visit From the Goon Squad, a national bestseller, which won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction and the LA Times Book Prize. She is also the author of The Invisible Circus, Emerald City and Other Stories, Look at Me and the bestselling The Keep. Also a journalist, she writes frequently for The New York Times Magazine.

All Great Writers, Great Readings events are free and open to the public. This event will take place in the Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater, Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library, First Floor, South Campus.
 
Great Writers, Great Readings was launched by Hofstra University in recognition of the importance of writing and literature in a liberal arts education. In addition to a baccalaureate degree in English, Hofstra currently offers an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and an M.A. in English. The program's faculty include playwright Erik Brogger, author Julia Markus and two Guggenheim Fellows: novelist Martha McPhee and poet Phillis Levin.

Parking Notice
Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
