Hofstra-CPX Entrepreneurship Competition
CPX Interactive, a digital advertising company, founded and led by Hofstra alumnus Michael Seiman, is partnering with Hofstra University to sponsor a student entrepreneurship competition that will award up to $75,000 in prize money for the best concepts and business plans. Students will present their innovative creations on April 24, 2013 in hopes of winning up to $75,000 in prize money.
Mr. Seiman, who graduated in 2000, started CPX while he was still a student at Hofstra. Students from several disciplines have formed teams, which will be judged on an executive summary, a presentation and a proof of concept together with environmental impact statements and a projection of the likely market. Student teams have submitted ideas for business plans, and their progress has been evaluated and monitored over the past months. They will present final concepts and business plans on April 24, 2013. The competition will be judged by a committee of Hofstra University faculty and administrators and CPX officials.
Judging takes place from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in 246 Axinn Library, South Campus.
The award will be given the following day, April 25th at 10 a.m. in the Parlor Room of Hofstra Hall.
All are welcome to attend but seating is limited.
