Big Ideas: The Future of Higher Education Comments

The Instructional Design team from Faculty Computing Services presents a speaker series exploring the topic Big Ideas: The Future of Higher Education. Each speaker will give a 15 minute presentation followed by a 15 minute Q&A from the audience.

 

Speakers:

The Future of Credentials: Will digital badges replace university degrees? presented by Emily Goligoski, Mozilla Foundation. 

The Flipped Classroom: Does the ‘classwork at home, homework in class’ model work? presented by Shawn Thelen, Hofstra University.

Wikipedia: From Consumer to Producer: Student editing of Wikipedia entries (with very high standards) presented by Jon Beasley-Murray, University of British Columbia.

Next-Level MOOCsReinventing assessments through peer-to-peer learning presented by Jim Groom, University of Mary Washington.
