St. Baldrick’s Day Event
Hofstra Staff, Faculty and Students Go Under the Buzzer! On March 13, 2013 Hofstra's Roller Hockey club will host its fifth annual St. Baldrick's Day Event here at Hofstra University. The event challenges Hofstra faculty, staff, students and community members to collect donations, setting a goal which if met, the participant will shave their head. At the event will also be the opportunity to cut your hair and donate to Locks of Love, for hair longer than 10 inches. The money raised by these events benefit childhood cancer research, raising over $33,492,000 nationally in 2012. Last year Hofstra raised $19,000 for St. Baldrick's Day, with this year's goal being $25,000.
