Spring Break Program: Sportscasting Fundamentals for Teens Comments

In this fun course, aspiring journalists will learn what it takes to make it as a sportscaster. You’ll be mentored by sportscasting professionals -- including Ed Ingles, formerly of CBS Sports -- as you learn fundamentals like writing, voice control, interviewing techniques and on-camera presence. You’ll also learn how to read from a teleprompter, prepare a play-by-play broadcast of a sporting event, the different roles involved in a sports broadcast, and potential career options. You’ll leave the course with a demo of your on-camera work to share with friends and family.
Note: Students are grouped by grade level.
