Mr. Edward Watson has been Partner of The Capital Markets Company N.V. since April 2014 and leads its Housing Finance Practice. Mr. Watson serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of BNY Mellon, where he leads the centralization of certain operations and oversees operational activities in global delivery centers and have responsibility for operations functions. He served as Executive Vice President and Head of Operations, Technology & General Services at Fannie Mae since April 2009, where he was responsible for all development, infrastructure and operations services and was also in charge of its corporate facilities and security. Mr. Watson served as Head of Operations at Citigroup Inc. From April 2004 to April 2008, he was Global Head of Capital Markets Operations and Institutional Clients Group Business Services at Citigroup. Before that, he served in a series of senior finance positions, including as Chief Financial Officer of Citigroup International, the European Investment Bank, and of Global Investment Management. Upon joining Citigroup in 1994, Mr. Watson led the effort to build the infrastructure for a start-up interest rate and equity over-the-counter derivatives business, which he ran until 1998. He had held senior positions at Republic Bank and Shearson Lehman Brothers. He was named to Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2012. Mr. Watson has a master's degree in business administration from Hofstra University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. John's University.
