Intersection of Faith and Health: Fostering and Sustaining Partnerships to Improve Public Health Outcomes

The School of Health Professions and Human Services presents Intersection of Faith and Health: Fostering and Sustaining Partnerships to Improve Public Health Outcomes. The purpose of this gathering is to bring together leaders of faith and health/social disciplines to explore areas where faith and health intersect. The forum intends to foster the bidirectional sharing of knowledge and wisdom, highlight sustainable faith-based and hospital partnership; best practice models, collaborative endeavors, and technologies/tools that strengthen the capacity of health and faith institutions to address health issues, especially among vulnerable populations. The forum will build and promote networks for learning within and across health and faith systems and encourage participant understanding of the importance of partnership building.

Co-sponsored by The New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH) AIDS Institute (AI), Division of HIV/STD/HCV Prevention in collaboration with Hofstra University School of Health Professions & Human Services, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and other key partners.
