The Gray Wig Alumni Theater presents Accentuate the Arlen Comments

The Gray Wig is pleased to bring Accentuate the Arlen written by Harold Arlen, our eighth annual concert, to the Hofstra University campus. Over the past seven years audience members have delighted in this evening of classic American music presented by some of the best singers and musicians in the Long Island area.  Harold Arlen has been described as a master composer and has written well over 500 songs that have become synonymous with the American Songbook. This spring, you can look forward to hearing Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive, Get Happy, Stormy Weather, Come Rain or Come Shine, One for My Baby (and One for the Road), The Man That Got Away, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Donna Mandarano (yellow dress, Hofstra Class of 2002) performs “Over the Rainbow” with Maddie Corwin, A.J. Venezia, Claire Levasseur, Joey Casali, Julia Bedeian, Amanda Falls, Emily Turner and Nicole Fauci. Photos by Kathy Kmonicek.
