Aligning Public Health Education to Improve the Health of Society lecture by Dr. George Thibault Comments
The Hofstra University Masters in Public Health program and the Bioethics Center invite you to join us on Tuesday, December 4 from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the Hofstra University Club for an exciting breakfast lecture with Dr. George Thibault, President of the Josiah Macy Foundation.
Dr. Thibault’s lecture, “Aligning Public Health Education to Improve the Health of Society,” will look at the historical separation of medicine and public health in academic institutions, and how that separation has lessened the effectiveness of health professionals in improving the health of individual patients and populations. He will discuss the promise and challenges of integrating of population-based perspectives into medical training, and highlight promising models for more integrative training approaches.
We look forward to your participation and hope that you will join us.
Please RSVP to Melissa.J.Kessler@hofstra.edu for this event. Space is limited and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
